Mutations in this gene are associated with Nijmegen breakage syndrome, an autosomal recessive chromosomal instability syndrome characterized by microcephaly, growth retardation, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. The encoded protein is a member of the MRE11/RAD50 double-strand break repair complex which consists of 5 proteins. This gene product is thought to be involved in DNA double-strand break repair and DNA damage-induced checkpoint activation.Immunogen information

Lysates/proteins: 25μg per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.
Detection: ECL Basic Kit (RM00020).
Exposure time: 90s.
Immunoprecipitation analysis of 300 μg extracts of 293T cells using 3 μg NBS1/NBN antibody (A4197). Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using NBS1/NBN antibody (A4197) at a dilution of 1:1000.
